February 2, 2022 Breakfast meeting notes - club forum
February 2, 2022 Breakfast Notes

We had a guest today join us at the Common Man Inn, Alicia Ladouceur of Pemi Valley Excavating. We were joined by a hybrid group in person as well as on Zoom.

Tony did his NH Trivia, always fun and challenging.  Tony has also asked if anyone has Plymouth Rotary swag, pictures, documents, etc, that we can collect for our 100th celebration coming in a few years, please bring it to a meeting or connect with one of our members to get it to Tony.  Thank you!

Today, we had a club forum lead by Denise.  She reminded members that the Superbowl is 2/13/22, and we still have members who have not paid for their squares, in addition, we have extra squares if you want additional, or know someone interested.  See Braden for details on the squares.  We hope to have the grid completed by the next meeting of 2/9/22.

We have not held our elections yet, we still have a board member opening and openings for President Elect and Vice President.  Peggy reminded us we still have time to fill the position and hold an election.

Speech contest is coming at the end of February, and we have not heard from any interested students yet.  The Rotary Interact Club at PRHS has the posters and have put them up in the school.  Denise will try to reach out to the school and see if we can get support for this program.   The Students can do their speech on Zoom, and judges can use Zoom break out rooms to count the scores.

The Rabies Clinic will be held on March 26th at the Plymouth Police Dept at 1pm.  Come early, come with masks, chair and table if you have any.

Denise mentioned the Interact Convention that was to be held in Calgary Canada has been postponed until the fall.  Not sure if any of our Interact student can attend. We can discuss at a later date.

There was discussion among those attending about the new eClub that is in the planning stages.  Most members feel it is a good thing for Rotary to bring more into the Rotary family, and a great resource for Clubs in the area to collaborate on different projects.  Some feel it will fraction our membership, but others realize that there are many potential members who  cannot join a traditional in person, or even hybrid club like ours, and the more that can  join Rotary, the merrier.
