Plymouth Rotary Meeting Notes for July 20, 2022
The meeting was called to order by Braden Smith.
Tony did his infamous NH Trivia.
Raffles:  we had a 50/50  but no card game
Guests:  Chuck Turner a Rotarian from the largest Rotary Club in Denver CO attended.  He reminded us he attended about the same time as last year.  John and Kathy Bentwood also joined us for breakfast.
Everyone was happy to see Gale back.  She gave a Happy Dollar and let us know after leaving Waterville Valley School, she sought her lifelong dream of being a flight attendant and started that job in March.  She will finish that the end of July, and will the new Principal of a German International School in the Silicon Valley in CA.  She will keep her home in NH and hope to see us again.

Saturday, July 23rd is Rotary Clean Up in Pinkham Notch, please sign up at rotarycleans.org  arrive at the auto road at 9AM
Saturday, July 30th is the annual Community Fun Fair.  Kathy Bentwood spoke to the club and was looking for volunteers for several shifts in many jobs to help out at the Fun Fair.  This is a great event and family fun for all, and very affordable for families of all sizes.  The Fun Fair is sponsored by The Bridge House, which helps veterans and the homeless.  Kathy also said she is seeking sponsorships from local businesses and individuals, to help with the $20,000 matching grant.
Wednesday, August 3rd Plymouth Rotary goes to the ball game! Please let Steve know if you are interested in coming to the game ASAP.  The cost is $12 per person, and he is trying to get enough to sign up and have our own section in the stands.  There will be a 50/50 and half the proceeds will be donated to the Rotary’s Ukraine Relief fund and is part of the Common Man’s commitment to match up to $1,000,000 in donations for Ukraine Relief.  Contact Steve Rand to book your tickets today!
Saturday, August 27th The Plymouth Rotary Amphitheater clean up day will begin at 9AM.  Meet down on Green Street by the Amphitheater.  There will be some light landscaping duties, raising a new American Flag and staining the Pergola.  Come join us.
Saturday, November 5th  at 7PM!  Guess what?  The Annual Plymouth Penny Sale is back!  After a two-year hiatus because of…you know what…we will be holding our very popular Penny Sale. 
The rest of the meeting was discussing Penny Sale committees and assigning or volunteering for committee chairs, coordinators, and volunteers.  This is our largest fund raiser of the year, and it’s an all-hands-on deck event, with planning beginning in August.  Please see Braden about your placement on the various committees and job duties.
