2.23.2022 Breakfast meeting notes

Guests today are: Danielle Paquette-Horne of Pemi Baker Hospice, Renee Brusseau, of Serendipity Designs, and Alicia Ladouceur of Pemi Valley Excavating

Today was the first round for the Rotary Speech Contest.  The theme this year was “How Can Your School Partner with Rotary to Change Lives.”

We had two contestants this year in round 1.  Both are members of the Plymouth High School Interact Club, Addison Englund and Kelsey Maine.  The moderator was Plymouth Rotarian Lora Miller.  The judges were Denise Castonguay, Tony Fitzherbert, Gail Adams-Davis and Sharon Thorne.  Omer Ahern was our timekeeper.  Both girls did a wonderful job, but of course only one can win and move on to round 2.  Our winner was Kelsey Maine.  We are awaiting word on the date for Round 2 between Rotary Clubs of Plymouth and Lin-wood.

After the contest we enjoyed another round of Tony’s NH Trivia.

Raffles:  50/50 won by Sharon and our guest Renee was drawn for a chance to win at the Card Game, but alas the 6 of spades is still in deck and we roll $112 into next meeting.

We are waiting on a break in the weather to undecorate the Common, hopefully we can get that done by East.

Denise mentioned filling our officer positions and many clubs now are doing co-presidencies, so one member does not have to do all the duties of the president.    Something to think about if you are interested on servicing our Club as an officer.
