President Paul Brochu and Immediate Past President Sara Holland congratulate Guy Ford of Holderness as our Grand Prize winner of $1000 in scratch tickets at this year's "Christmas in July Raffle" in support of our International Wheelchair Project which will be sending 125 wheelchairs to Panama. The ticket was pulled along with second and third place finishes during the Concert at the Rotary Amphitheater on Wednesday evening. Thanks to everyone who turned out to help with that event! During the morning meeting President Paul held Club Forum covering a variety of topics from our Board Meeting last Friday which included a $3000 grant to the Plymouth Skate Park as they wrap up this special community project; a $200 grant to Advocates for Grafton County Mental Health Court; and a $300 grant to Pemi-Baker Literacy in support of their annual Spelling Bee. If you want to be a part of our Club's Team for the Spelling Bee, please contact Ben Amsden. Paul and Mike visited the Mayhew Program on Tuesday, and a second group from the club will be going out on July 30th. Paul announced that we will be trying out a "Rotating" Sergeant - At - Arms for a month beginning in September. Some members have already stepped up to take a month. AND, we continue to look for someone to step into the role of Club Secretary. Please see Paul if you are interested. Paul then talked about the three areas he will work on this year which emerged from our Visioning Session: 1) Hands-on Service, 2) Continual engagement/collaboration with others clubs, especially Bristol and Lincoln/Woodstock, and 3) Family friendly events and meetings. |
