Notes on our September 4th Meeting
Our own Dr. Lisa Doner,  an Associate Professor at Plymouth Sate University, shared with us results from some of her latest research on Squam Lake.  To see her full presentation, please go to our Facebook Page.  (https://www.facebook.com/plymouthnhrotaryclub/videos/387057112005506/)

Here are Secretary Martha's minutes of the Meeting:
Another great meeting is in the books for our club. We were introduced to our new intern, Abby Bran. Please take the time to introduce yourself to Abby and make her feel welcomed. She will be providing a lot of support to our club in the coming weeks/months/year! We also began the morning by recognizing Peggy and presenting her with the Paul Harris Fellow pin. She joins the rest of the club, who were recognized at the Changing of the Guards ceremony. Peggy was humble in her acceptance and declined to make a speech. Well deserved, Peggy! Thank you for your continued service to rotary!
There was a reminder that the ribbon cutting for the new Veterans' Home will take place on Friday 9/6 at 11am behind Walmart in Plymouth. All are welcomed to attend.
Saturday 9/7 is the ribbon cutting for the Blue Heron School at 11am. Ken will be attending and also welcomes anyone to attend.
Paul passed around a sign up sheet if you are interested or available this Sunday 9/8 at 11am to help Dawn and the NH Audubon Society. They will be moving kayaks from the waterfront to their storage facility and any help is appreciated.
The 8th annual Pemi-Baker Literacy Spelling Bee will be held on October 18th. Rotary has openings on our team to be a participant. Please see Ben if you are interested in joining. It is a great evening out and is sure to be a good time!
Our speaker this morning was our own, Dr. Lisa Doner. Lisa gave a wonderful presentation on her research project, Squam Lake Does Science. If you missed it, I encourage you to log into Facebook and watch the recorded meeting. Thank you, Lisa, for sharing your project with the club.

Have a great week!
Martha

Peggy Smith was unable to attend our Changing of the Guard in June when the entire Club was recognized by Rotary Foundation Trustee Julia Phelps for becoming Paul Harris Fellows.  Today Ken caught up with her to present her certificate and pin.

President Paul welcomed our Intern from PSU, Abby Braun.   Please introduce yourself to Abby in the coming weeks.
