Items from our last Board meeting on Aug 15:
After much discussion, we determined that Christmas in July only netted about $1000 this year and that it was not very popular with membership. Therefore, the Board voted to cease the Christmas in July and solicit ideas for a summer fundraiser to begin in 2020
Board approved $1000 for the Education Scholarship Fund of the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center to support children of local families who otherwise would not have the opportunity to attend the Blue Heron School, nature-based Montessori early learning center
Discussed our Interact group and mentioned that Taylor Maine is awaiting additional information from Plymouth Regional High School Administration regarding their progress to becoming an officially-recognized PRHS club as well as any funding that may be forthcoming from PRHS. Further discussion focused on our club supporting the Interact group in their endeavors.
There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony and tour at the new Harbor Homes' Boulder Point housing facility for vets and their families on Friday, September 6th at 11 am. Denise suggests that we carpool!
