In lieu of our regular meeting, we met with District Governor Ariel Mondlak to plant milkweed seeds. Our original proposed location at the Oxbow was ruled out because of a heavy growth of poison ivy; the backup location at Holderness Town Beach was also rejected because of unsuitable growing conditions (too wet and shady for milkweed). At that point Ken Evans graciously volunteered to let us plant the seeds at his meadow, which we proceeded to do. Afterwards Ken invited participants down to his beach house for coffee and donuts.
