President Sara presents a check for $1000 to Plymouth Rotarian Kathy Kearns, Executive Director of the Circle Program, for their Scholarship Program.  Kathy explained that all the girls in their Program are scholarshiped since they are all from low-income families.  It costs about $7000 per year for each girl in the Program and the girls are a part of the Circle Program for 8 years.  That's a commitment over time of $56,000 per girl.  Currently, there are 87 girls in the Program.

 

Today was our opportunity to really focus in on our upcoming Penny Sale this Saturday, Nov. 3rd.  Setup time is 3 pm that day with all of us to arrive between 5:30-6 pm.  If you have any prizes in hand, they need to be brought to PRHS at the setup time of 3 pm.

All of the various banners we have around the towns will be taken down starting on Sunday at 9 am, and then those remaining on Monday at 8 am.  If you can help, meet up at The Common Man.

 

 

Sara noted the Ben Amsden recently began a new position with the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.  Here's part of their announcement: "Ben Amsden joined the Charitable Foundation in August, as Senior Program Officer for the North Country and Lakes regions.
